Peratallada stole my heart, and couldn't help but feel at home at El Cau. Nestled in this charming medieval town, the hotel has an unbeatable location just a stone's throw from the main attractions. While it has that boutique luxury vibe, I couldn't help but appreciate the excellent value it offers. The standard rooms were thoughtfully maintained, with daily housekeeping keeping everything spick and span. Free toiletries were a nice touch-not a given everywhere, and they added to the sense of care the owners put into the property. The staff went above and beyond, ensuring everything from a late check-in to luggage assistance was seamless. It was also great to see they offer VIP check-in and check-out; it's these small touches that enhance your experience. We had a fantastic breakfast with plenty of options, setting us up for a day of exploring the surrounding medieval towns and pristine Costa Brava beaches, which are both just a short drive away. In short, El Cau delivers on both comfort and affordability, making it an excellent choice if you're seeking an intimate experience without breaking the bank. Happy travels!
